Mechanical Performance Testing
Mechanical performance testing is one of the important standards for evaluating the quality of PVC welding wire. Common mechanical properties of welding wire include Vickers hardness, tensile strength, and flexural strength.
Vickers hardness is a quantitative expression of the hardness of welding wire, used to measure its wear resistance and abrasion resistance.
Tensile strength is an indicator of the welding wire's resistance to tensile breakage and must meet relevant standards. Flexural strength is an indicator of the welding wire's resistance to bending and also needs to meet relevant standards.
Chemical Composition Testing
Chemical composition testing is an important standard for determining whether PVC welding wire is of acceptable quality. The chemical composition of PVC welding wire includes major elements and impurities, and the testing requirements must meet relevant standards.
Visual Inspection
Visual inspection of PVC welding wire is an important means of verifying whether the surface condition of the PVC welding wire meets the standards. The surface of the welding wire must not have defects such as cracks, notches, porosity, or slag inclusions, otherwise it will lead to welding quality problems.
Dimensional Deviation Inspection
Dimensional deviation of PVC welding wire is also an important indicator for measuring the quality of welding wire. The actual size of PVC welding wire should be within the acceptable tolerance range of the standard size.
