PVC welding wire needs to be cleaned before use to ensure welding quality. The cleaning methods are mainly divided into the following two categories:
Pre-welding Cleaning Methods
Removing oil and dust: Wipe the surface of the welding wire with organic solvents such as gasoline or acetone to remove grease and dust, then wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
Removing oxide film or surface impurities: This can be done by mechanical cleaning (such as gently sanding with sandpaper) or chemical cleaning (such as acid pickling).
Precautions: After cleaning, avoid direct contact with the surface of the welding wire to prevent recontamination.
If used for welding PVC flooring, ensure the welding area is clean and free of adhesive residue. If necessary, grooves or roughening can be done to facilitate welding wire fusion.
