Storage Environment

PVC welding wire should be stored in a cool, dry indoor warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures, as these conditions may cause the PVC material to age, decompose, or soften and deform.

The warehouse temperature should be controlled between 15-30℃, and the relative humidity should be kept below 60% to prevent the welding rods from becoming damp, which would affect their fusion welding effect.

The warehouse should be kept away from fire sources, heat sources (such as radiators and stoves), and strong oxidants to prevent the PVC material from degrading.

Stacking Method

PVC welding wire should be stacked according to specifications and models. PVC welding wires of different diameters, shapes, and materials should be stored separately to avoid mixing.

Standing can be done vertically or horizontally, but the stacking height should not exceed 1.5 meters to prevent the bottom PVC welding wire from deforming due to pressure.

When stacking, the packaging of the welding wire should be kept intact to avoid direct contact with the ground. The welding rods can be placed on shelves or pallets to increase their stability.

Protective Measures

Unopened PVC welding wire should be kept in its original sealed packaging. Opened PVC welding wire should be resealed in a sealed bag to prevent moisture and dust contamination.

PVC welding wire stored for long periods should be inspected regularly for its appearance. If deformation, cracking, or aging is found, it should be addressed promptly. Unusable PVC welding wire should be stored separately to avoid confusion with other welding wires. During transportation, PVC welding wire should be protected from collisions and compression to prevent breakage and deformation.
